Why carry around a big, unhandy and very non-portable standard high chair if you can choose for a portable on, which weighs no more than 1 kg.

A few benefits

• Saves a lot of space in use and when stored.

The hook-on high chair is much smaller then a conventional high chair, and very easy to use. Just hook the seat onto a table and that’s it.

• Easy to clean

Cleaning the chair is as easy as doing a quick wipe and done!

• Portable

Because the chair is so light (1 kg), small and can be easily folded, it is very portable.

A few points to take into account

• The babies weight

Most hook-on high chairs can support a baby up to 16 kg (37 lbs). Some of the less sturdy ones will go up to 13 kg (30 lbs). So be sure to check for this. You can always choose to use the high chair up till 13 kg and not further.

• The thickness of the table

Most hook-on high chairs can be attached onto tables with a thickness up to 5 cm (2 in). Be sure to check for this as well.

• Table edge

Make sure you attach the high chair on the straight edges of the table not the round edges.

• Sort of tables

Do not use the high chair on glass topped tables, tables with loose table tops, table leaves, single pedestal tables, card tables or camping tables.

• Rubber grips

Make sure your high chair comes with rubber grips so it doesn’t damage your table.

• Price

Hook-on high chairs are in general more expensive then standard high chairs.

Nice to haves

• Carrying bag

If you’ll be frequently using your chair away from home, a carrying bag can be very convenient

• Pockets to store items

Some high chairs come with a storage pocket at the back of the seat. Just handy.

• Removable seat cushion

Simply remove it, throw it in the washing machine, and it’s good to go.
